MIRANDA LAMBERT TO RELEASE HER FIRST PERFORMANCE DVD

Revolution: Live By Candlelight, In Stores Everywhere October 15

ACM Award-winning Top Female Vocalist Miranda Lambert will release her first performance DVD, Revolution: Live By Candlelight on October 15. The six-song DVD features rare, acoustic performances of five songs from her 2010 ACM Album of the Year, Revolution, including her back-to-back #1 singles, “White Liar,” and “The House That Built Me.” As an added bonus, the DVD also features one of her favourite songs, “Love Is Looking For You,” from her Kerosene album.
Revolution: Live By Candlelight also includes exclusive, never-before-seen footage of the stories behind the songs. The DVD was filmed in an intimate setting – a dimly lit stage surrounded with candles – which actually set off the fire alarm while recording!
Miranda is set to announce this year’s CMA Award final nominees in five categories with Dierks Bentley on Wednesday, Sept. 1 live from ABC’s “Good Morning America” studios in the heart of New York City’s Times Square.

TOBY KEITH PUTS MORE BULLETS IN THE GUN
Toby is Billboard's #1 Country Artist of the Decade and #1 Country Songwriter of the Decade.
Toby is ranked among the top musical performers in any genre at #3 on Billboard's Top 200 Artists of the Decade chart.
(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) Toby Keith preceded his current American Ride Tour with an unexpected club show in New York City, and he's releasing his new album with an extra something special, too. The singer/songwriter/entertainer's 15th full-length studio album Bullets In The Gun will also be available as a Deluxe Edition upon its Oct. 8 release, adding four live tracks to the standard album. Recorded during his "Incognito Bandito" show at The Fillmore in Manhattan, the four songs feature Keith on lead vocals backed by an A-list band of session players assembled exclusively for the rare club performance. Johnny Paycheck's "11 Months And 29 Days," Waylon Jennings' "I've Been A Long Time Leaving (But I'll Be A Long Time Gone)," Roger Miller's "Chug-A-Lug" and Gordon Lightfoot's "Sundown" are the additions. Those recordings bring the Deluxe Edition's track list to 14. Keith produced the album, joined by Mills Logan and Kenny Greenberg for the live session. He also wrote or co-wrote all 10 new songs, six with Bobby Pinson, one with Scotty Emerick and Dean Dillon and the title track with Rivers Rutherford. Toby also wrote two songs by himself, including the lead single "Trailerhood,". As the new single and album attest, Toby Keith may be the longest-tenured self-contained hit machine in country music history. He wrote his first single and No. 1 smash "Should've Been A Cowboy" in 1993 and has been the central creative force behind the vast majority of his biggest hits since. His American Ride Tour, presented by Ford F-Series (his eighth-consecutive year as the "Ford Truck Man"), continues to play for standing-room-only arenas and will reach more fans this year than it did in 2009. In fact, 2010 has been a milestone year already. Toby performed on the prestigious Boston Pops 4th of July Spectacular, which drew more than a half-million Americans in person and millions more to the CBS telecast. He's featured in this year's edition of the Forbes Celebrity 100 annual ranking of the most powerful celebrities in entertainment, sports and publishing. And he's currently featured on the cover of People Country.

Lee Brice Finds Patience Pays

By Tom Roland
When “Love Like Crazy” was released to radio stations in August 2009, Lee Brice had no idea how long it would take for the song to hit its stride.
It’s now been on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for 53 weeks — that’s more than a year that it’s been in circulation, and it’s still on the move in the Top 5. That longevity is so rare that only one song has ever lasted longer on the country chart: Eddy Arnold’s “Bouquet Of Roses,” which began a 54-week run in 1948.
Still, because it’s been around so long, “Love Like Crazy” could have driven Lee crazy. Plenty of artists admit that they watch the charts obsessively, and his ascent — 56 chart positions in a 53-week period — was agonizingly slow. But Lee had a pretty good method for dealing with it.“I try and not watch it,” he told The Tennessean. “I try and keep my head down and go play a couple shows.”
It’s not the only way Lee has been forced to wait in his career. He signed with Curb Records in 2007, but it took three years for his first album to make it into the marketplace. The label wanted him to have a Top 20 single before releasing the full CD, so it waited until June 2010 to finally put out Lee’s debut.
His patience might be thinning, though. Lee’s already itching to get to work on the next album.
“I’ve been living with that record for three years,” he said. “I’m ready to start making a new one, just artistically to be able to stay ahead of the ballgame. Artistically I’m nowhere near where I was three years ago when I made that record. I’ve grown as an artist.”
Not that he’s complaining about the wait. Lee does, after all, have a hit that’s on the verge of setting an all-time record. And “Love Like Crazy” is one of country’s 10 best-selling singles online.
“The label has its process,” Lee said. “The [positive] is that right now I have a big Top 5 song and I’m selling records.”
It’s also picked up an awards nomination. “Love Like Crazy” is in the running for Mainstream Inspirational Country Song of the Year in the 16th annual Inspirational Country Music Awards. Lee’s competition is “That’s God” by Jo Dee Messina, “Temporary Home” by Carrie Underwood, “The Man I Want To Be” by Chris Young and “This Ain’t Nothin’” by Craig Morgan.
Can Lee win? To find out… he’ll have to wait. Until Oct. 14 when the trophies are handed out at the Trinity Music City USA Auditorium. Source: http://blog.gactv.com

Kenny Chesney Plots Return to the Road

By Tom Roland

After hitting the concert trail for most of the last decade with summer tours that included a good share of stadium dates, Kenny Chesney rather famously stayed off the road for most of 2010, playing just a handful of shows and concentrating instead on his forthcoming album Hemingway’s Whiskey.
But Kenny’s also been thinking about 2011 when he will indeed be back out in full force, playing about 60 concerts, including some of those stadium gigs.
“I’ve already got a 3-D rendering of what our stage show will look like on my computer right now,” he told Billboard. “I can look at it from all angles. I don’t want to piece this thing together. If you go out like we do it, if we start in April or March, you can’t wait until January to piece this together.”
Kenny might not have launched a full-fledged tour this year, but he was certainly active during his downtime. Not only did he record the new album, he also produced a football documentary and spent two months in Los Angeles working on the concert film Kenny Chesney: Summer In 3D, which came out in April. The primary focus of the movie is, of course, the few hours he spent on stage during his 2009 tour, though there’s a lot more that goes into the job than simply showing up and taking over the spotlight. It was good for Kenny to have a break from those other parts of the routine.
“I didn’t miss going to catering every day at 5 o’clock,” he said. “I didn’t miss hanging out on the bus all day wasting time, doing certain things… But, boy, I tell you, I missed that first note every night. I missed the energy of the crowd. That’s what you hope you miss, and boy, I missed it.”
Kenny’s return to touring next year comes only after he launches the new album. Hemingway’s Whiskey is due Sept. 28. Source: http://blog.gactv.com

KEEPING COUNTRY COOL

CC2KA Managing Director Ken Roberts and the Solar Power Station.

Cool Country 2KA is keeping the country cool in more than one way. Not only do we play the coolest country music, but we now have a solar electricity power station that will help keep the Country cool. The power station will generate around 7,000 kWh (kilo watt hours) per year. This will offset around 25% of our power requirements and save over 7 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year. In ideal conditions, the power station generates 2.9 kW of power.

The managing director, Ken Roberts, has laid down the challenge to other business owners to get serious about the environment and to commit to energy reductions and to invest in renewable sources of energy. Ken says that “unless business owners take a strong leadership role in investing for our future, we can’t expect others to make short-term sacrifices for the long-term good”.

The solar power station incorporates a number of innovative features. These include:
• Automatic tracking of the sun throughout the day (using a microprocessor control system that is much more reliable than alternative technologies),
• Three tilt angle adjustments to follow the drift of the sun north during winter,
• High output 220W panels.

The solar power station was designed, supplied and installed by LJW Solar. Additional information can be obtained through their web-site at www.ljwsolar.com.au.

Cool Country 2KA T-Shirts and Polo Shirts are now available IN COLOUR (Black, Grey, Navy, mid and light Blue, Pink and White) at Saddleworld, corner Preston Street and Mulgoa Road Penrith and St Marys Sound Centre, Queen Street St Marys
